Mapping Malawi's arts and culture industries
24 July 2023Read moreRei Foundation Limited (RFL) and the Malawi National Commission for UNESCO (MNCU), are pleased to announce the funding of a new study entitled Mapping Exercise of Malawi’s Arts and Cultural Industries, intended to assess the Malawi cultural sector. This is the second time that RFL and MNCU have co-operated on a research grant for a culture-related research project in Malawi.

Kim Hak’s “Alive IV” Exhibition Revived with Enhanced Content
19 June 2023Read moreFollowing the success of the 2022 exhibitions in Tokyo and Yokohama, Kim Hak's Alive IV returns to Yokohama, now with previously unexhibited works, and curated by Cambodia-based curator Meta Moeng. The exhibition will also return with a specially-developed public programme that will allow visitors to get a deeper insight into the realities of families who survived the Cambodian Civil War, as well as the launch of an expanded second edition of the exhibition catalogue.

Alive IV exhibition opens in Tokyo and Yokohama
26 October 2022Read moreKim Hak, Cambodian lens based artist and long time partner of Rei Foundation, has opened Alive IV, an exhibition of new photographs and recorded histories created in collaboration with people with Cambodian roots living in Japan in 2020. Rei Foundation has supported exhibitions in Tokyo and Kanagawa, complemented by public programmes for the general public, media, school groups and Cambodian communities.

Kim Hak's Alive book is launched, works acquired by Auckland Museum

Supported by Rei Foundation, the Alive book is the culmination of a years-long collaborative project with Kim Hak and the Cambodian community of Auckland, in which he documented the stories of their journeys as refugees to New Zealand through photographs of the objects they brought with them at an exhibition at Objectspace gallery in Auckland.
