Capacity-building session held in Tuvalu

A workshop was held in Tuvalu from 24 to 29 July 2017, on community-based inventorying of intangible cultural heritage (ICH) and how the country planned to implement the Intangible Cultural Heritage Convention. The workshop was funded by Rei Foundation, carried out by the Government of Tuvalu and facilitated by UNESCO.

Through this workshop, the Government of Tuvalu was able to educate 40 Tuvaluan participants (including government officials, community leaders, a Women’s Committee, NGOs and other stakeholders) on good practice in community-based ICH inventorying.
